2026 BC Wood Golf Classic

The 9th annual BC Wood Golf Classic will be held on Monday, August 3rd

 at Champions Trace Golf Course in Nicholasville, KY. 

This event is a 4-man best ball charity golf scramble benefiting

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Bluegrass.

At BC Wood Properties we are passionate about giving to causes that will directly impact children in our community. Our partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Bluegrass is one grown out of deep respect for the work they are doing in Central Kentucky. Every child deserves a chance to succeed and BBBS is arming our community with people who will invest in the life of these kids to directly impact their futures.

In 2025 we hosted the inaugural “BC Wood Day of Impact”  as an extension of our scramble which allows kids currently in the BBBS program to participate in a golf clinic at Keene Trace Golf Course. We partnered with UK Athletics, Champions Staff and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass for this event to expose kids in the program to the game of golf and let them engage with UK student athletes and Golf Professionals from Keene Trace.

This event speaks to the heart of our partnership with BBBS and is only possible with the participation of our amazing sponsors and friends for our annual BC Wood Golf Classic.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

What will the funds raised go towards

BBBS has served thousands of kids over the last six decades, but there are many more who are still waiting for someone to stand in their corner. The funds raised at the BC Wood Classic will go directly towards facilitating those matches.

The cost to facilitate a "Big-Little" match is $1,500.
